The Dander Up Donard
“It always seems impossible until it’s done” – Nelson Mandela
It has been a year where we have all realised the real importance of priority. With this in mind, I have decided to celebrate my 50th birthday hiking to the top of Slieve Donard to raise much needed funds for Cancer Fund for Children. I have worked with children for the past twenty years and wanted to choose a charity that was child centred.
Daisy Lodge is Cancer Fund for Children’s unique therapeutic facility nestled at the foothills of the Mourne Mountains in Newcastle Co. Down. It allows families affected by cancer to spend precious time together to relax and recuperate.
Due to the pandemic charities have been hit particularly hard with fundraising events not taking place.
Can I please ask you to donate whatever you can to a facility that has been described as a “haven” for cancer families.
Thank you,
Sinead
