The Dan Jordan Friendship Fund
One of Mr. Dan Jordan’s extraordinary gifts was the ability to connect with people, no matter where or when he met them. When speaking with Gwen, Dan’s wife, she told us that Dan had a special gift and he believed in making a difference. He often said: “The best thing I can give to anyone is my time.” And that’s exactly what he did. He took the time to make people feel that they mattered.
Dan held Emmons School close to his heart. Both of Dan & Gwen daughters, Payton and Reagan, attended Emmons from Kindergarten through 8th grade. In addition to being active parents in the community, Dan also served as a member and as President of the Board of Education at Emmons from 2004 until 2011 where he did whatever it took to help the district move forward.
We were heartbroken to learn of Dan’s sudden passing on February 27, 2019. In order to honor his memory and his dedication to Emmons School, his family has chosen to establish The Dan Jordan Friendship Fund in his name. The goal of this special fund is to create the ability to sponsor programs at Emmons that cultivate acts of kindness and friendship among all of its students, from Kindergarten through 8th grade.
We hope you will consider contributing to this fund in Dan’s honor. Dan and his family have been a large part of the Emmons Community for many years. He will remain with us forever and will be missed.
Thank you for your consideration.
