The Dales Way
We are back for another long distance walk to raise funds for the newly established Euphoria Trust for Creative Arts. Some of you will be aware that a few years ago we set out on the Cumbria Way in memory of our friend, choir leader and amazing lady Amy Purvis. We raised the fantastic amount of over £8000 and alongside Amy's family, we have now set up an official Charity in order to continue spreading Amy's dedication to the Creative Arts.
Our friend wished for everyone to be able to access the Creative Arts, but particularly children and young people and she was keen that money would not be a barrier. The Charity aims to provide funded opportunities for children and young people in the Teesdale area by way of Grants to individuals to support music, theatre, dance and any other creative classes.
This walk is not going to be easy! Its our third one and its the longest yet, over 80 miles over 6 days. We are not the fittest bunch and our friendships are tested to the limits under a pretty intense week! But we have the skills within our team to succeed and the knowledge that we are walking to raise funds to support access to the Arts for children and young people.
The walk takes place between 24th and 29th September. We really appreciate any donations that you can provide. We even accept cake donations that we can munch on the way (remember one of us is GF!!). Of course we will update you all with the Good, the Bad and the Ugly photos throughout our week!
