Dear Friends,
Dave's cousin Tony Crocco has been diagnosed with Stage 3b Squamous Cell (Non-small cell Lung Cancer.) In his records it is coded as T2bN2TMx 3b. This means that there is a confirmed 5 cm+ tumor in his right lung and cancer confirmed in 3 stations of his lymph nodes. There is also signs of cancer on one of two adrenal glands. At this time, surgery is not an option.

The bronchoscopy was performed on 9/4 and he had Radiation consult on 9/9, and began radiation the following day due to SVC syndrome (Superior Vena Cava Syndrome) caused by the pressure from the tumor, this causes swelling of the head. He was considered an oncology emergency.

He has undergone 3 rounds of chemo as well. The oncologist just ordered a CT scan to confirm there has been no progression rather than proceed with super dosages of chemo. If this is confirmed, then he can begin immunotherapy for a year. We are hoping there is a surgical option later, after yet another CT scan and PET scan, which may improve the odds. Chemo and radiation have left him exhausted and we were told this fatigue could last a year. Immunotherapy is less fatiguing but comes with other risks.
Tony can't work during this year of treatment, but he has been denied SSDI because of his current income bracket. This also excludes him from any benefits like SNAP. He and his amazing wife Leslie have bills that can't be covered with just her income, and living from one paycheck to the next is stressful at best.

As they have already begun treatment, time is of the essence! They need assistance right away to be able to treat the cancer, keep it at bay, and have hope.

Please consider helping Tony, Leslie and the Crocco family by donating towards covering his medical expenses!
We love and appreciate you!
