Hi,
My name is Lisa and I wanted to support Tricia and Gilles after a very difficult few weeks. They work extremely hard to support their small business and have suffered a great loss.
The Charlottetown Farm Market fire on Christmas Day destroyed most of their product, display furniture and supplies. With no insurance, the loss is devastating.
This is a little about them;
With a neuro spicy home of four, Gilles and Patricia, two creative book nerds, needed to find a way to support their family in a way that worked for everyone. Between chronic illnesses, ADHD and ASD working jobs outside of the house was not achievable. So, in the Spring of 2022 The Cozy Bookshelf came to be.
For almost five years now, Gilles and Patricia have been combining their work to create journals, notebooks, and more. Their main source of income is achieved from participating in local farmers’ markets throughout the year. The winter season can be challenging, so when they were offered a semi-permanent spot at the Charlottetown Farmers’ Market from December 20th until Mid March, they were very grateful and excited. On December 25th, 2025, there was a fire at the Charlottetown Farmers’ Market. Five days after setting up shop, Gilles and Patricia lost about 90% of their inventory and most of their market set-up, materials, and supplies. Because they are not permanent vendors they will not be included in any of the upcoming pop-up markets offered by the Charlottetown Farmers’ Market.
