On Friday, 11 September 2026, a family in our community experienced the unimaginable.

In the early hours of the morning, their beautiful four year old daughter developed a sudden illness…something every parent has experienced and would never imagine could end in tragedy.

Only hours later, she was unresponsive. Despite every effort, she could not be saved. Their beautiful little girl was gone.

There had been no warning, no time to prepare, and no real chance to say goodbye. In the space of a few short hours, her family’s world changed forever.

She was a happy, vibrant little girl, full of personality and joy. Those of us who knew her can picture her running after her older brother and sister and the other children in her glittery boots and tulle skirts. She was deeply loved, and her absence is impossible to comprehend.

Her family is now facing a grief no parent should ever have to experience, while somehow continuing to care for their other children and manage the practical realities of everyday life.

We have created this fundraiser to surround them with some practical support during this devastating time. Funds raised will help with funeral expenses, mortgage and household costs, everyday financial commitments, and most importantly, allow the family some breathing space to be together and grieve without the immediate pressure of wondering how everything will be paid for.
