"The Cost" Directed by Xavier Simpson
This summer, we’re making a short film called "The Cost." It’s a story that feels really personal to us, and one we think a lot of people can relate to.
The film follows a young man who gets pulled back into his past by an old friend and is forced to make a tough choice: do something that goes against his morals to support his family, or stay true to himself and risk losing everything. There isn’t an easy answer, and that’s what the film is really about.
We want to tell this story in an honest, grounded way, focusing on real emotions and the kind of decisions people don’t talk about enough.
We’re raising money to help cover the basics: equipment, locations, feeding our cast and crew, costumes, and props. Any support genuinely makes a difference and helps us bring this story to life the right way.
If you’re able to donate or even just share the project, it means a lot to us. Thank you for helping us make "The Cost."
