THE CORLEYS CONQUER CANCER

(With our help, they can tackle the rest of life, too!)

Today on World Cancer Day I am asking for your support in helping my cousin and her precious family continue their fight against Stage 4 Testicular Cancer. Please help me show them the love of Christ, as we are His hands and feet in their time of need. They have cried out and He hears their plea.

My courageous cousin Meghan and her husband Tray Corley are newlyweds who are no strangers to testing the boundaries of “in sickness and in health”. A year into life as a family of three and just weeks into a new job, Tray was diagnosed with testicular cancer. No signs, no symptoms, no warning that their plans were going to be changed... and no surprise to a mighty God who will use their survivor story in His time.

DIAGNOSIS
After weeks on antibiotics for what they thought was pneumonia, healthy, active 37 year old Tray was diagnosed over Thanksgiving weekend with Stage 4 testicular cancer and learned it had metastasized to his lungs and surrounding lymph nodes. WITHOUT IMMEDIATE,  AGGRESSIVE treatment he was given TWO WEEKS TO LIVE. Armed with a new wife and daughter, new job and the faith that God the Healer, Protector, Provider and source of strength is in control, Meghan and Tray  jumped into the fight against cancer and arranged to start chemo the same day.

PROGNOSIS
That was 2 months ago. Today, the cancer is responding to treatment. Tumors are shrinking in his lungs and after surgery there is no sign of cancer in his testicle. There is still an uphill battle every day with more chemo, random infections, the flu and all that comes with killing cancer while trying to keep the rest of his body alive. This is only the beginning of his treatment journey and he and Meghan need our help to find the means to stay strong and fight the fight.

THE POWER OF A PRAYING WIFE. GOD PROVIDES THROUGH HIS PEOPLE...

Seven days. In just seven days Meghan and Tray met and knew that God gave them one another. They began planning a life together. A beautiful wedding, a new home, new jobs, babies, family and a faith that could move mountains. Through prayer and petition God is giving them the desires of their heart while revealing His plans for their life together. Now they need YOU, ME and OUR COMMUNITY to stand in the gap as His hands and feet.

THEY NEED OUR HELP
Life as they knew it is on hold. Tray’s new job is not a reality right now. Meghan’s job as a hairdresser is flexible, but caring for Tray is the priority and is more than a full-time job. Along with their precious six year old daughter Olivia, they need our help.  I am calling on all of our family, friends and community to show up in a big way!

Please help us fund their fight against cancer, share their story and lift some of the burden of the detour to their happily ever after. With your help we can allow Tray, Meghan and Olivia Mae to focus on conquering cancer and starting their “dream come true” while we help them carry the heavy financial burdens that come with it.

Your contribution will help provide financial assistance, as neither Tray nor Meghan are able to work full time right now. Money collected will provide help for medical bills and supplies, household bills, salon booth rental to allow Meghan to continue to work when possible, and any other unforeseen expenses associated with cancer treatment and recovery.

From our family to yours, thank you for showing up and showing out.
