Paula Cook, who is the daughter of Mark and Maggie Schultz, was diagnosed at 36 years old with an aggressive brain tumor while 5 months pregnant. Her immediate treatment option was radiation, which was done at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. This was completed about 2.5 months ago, followed by the birth of Cameron 2 weeks later.

Her husband, Eric, works remotely, but assistance with travel back and forth from appointments is needed. She is now awaiting news of acceptance into a clinical trial in California (Stanford University Medical Center). Meanwhile, she is recovering from radiation, which caused double vision and weakness/loss of sensation/motor control on her left side. Through all of this, she is trying to take care of a newborn and 4-year-old son, Andrew.

The Cook Family has occasional assistance from her parents and in-laws; however, they are experiencing unexpected expenses, such as needing to hire a night nurse or traveling back to Jacksonville. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated to help the Cook Family cope with this diagnosis and its financial ramifications.
