Hi! We are student leaders of the Congressional Clash Debate Tournament this year!

We created this tournament in December to make an impact in the community. We spend lots of our time debating about legislation that can benefit others but are often unable to make tangible change. We hope that by adding a registration fee and donating all proceeds directly to charity we can make a positive impact on our world at a time when it needs it the most.

Our 2022 tournament is dedicated to fundraising for Doctors Without Borders. In over 70 countries around the world, Doctors Without Borders saves lives by providing medical aid where it is needed most - armed conflicts, epidemics, natural disasters, and other crises. They responded to COVID-19 by caring for patients, offering health education, mental health support, and infection control training in health facilities around the world.
We were able to raise $470 at our first tournament, and hope to continue to fund change around the world through our tournament.
The Congressional Clash Summer Showdown will be held on Saturday, July 23rd.
If you are planning on competing at The Congressional Clash this year please do the following: Sign up through the Google Form first (linked on tabroom), then submit your entry fee to this Gofundme (your donation will go straight to the charity). There is a $5 entry fee for all competitors. We encourage judges to donate, but there is no fee to judge.
If you want to donate more, please feel free to! If you cannot afford the entry fee, please get in touch with the directors of the tournament (our contact info is on the Tab page) and we will accommodate you-- the fee is not intended to be a barrier to participation at all.
To ensure that we can verify you donated, please use your full name when donating, and leave a comment after you donate with the name of your S&D event and the name that you entered under in the google form.
