The completion of my Edinburgh painting

Hi, my name is Gary Knights (alias Gary Animal). I'm a street performing artist and painter. When covid broke I started a giant painting based around the Edinburgh Fringe 2020 and the performers and friends that may have been there ,were it not cancelled. The painting is 2 metres long and 1.2 metres high. It will contain over a 150 portraits of those performers, friends and supporters. Some of the greatest names in street performing that have passed on are also in the painting. You don't have to have performed at the Fringe or even have visited Edinburgh to be in the painting.

I need money to dedicate myself to this mammoth task. I am about 2000 hours in and I estimate is a full time job for a year or more than 10,000 hours. Being a street performer I am broke. Many people seem to want this epic task completed and have said they would help, hence this Gofundfme. A £25.00 donation may well get you in the painting. More money might get you a better position, it is an art piece though and composition is the main deciding factor. Wether you give one pound or several hundred ,thankyou so much for the support. I will post photos and a blog of the progress. There will be YouTube videos too. Some have donated but don't want to be in the painting that's very kind. The painting will hang where performers and public can go see it. I will not be paid anywhere near it's true worth in terms of minimum wage and hours spent and this Gofundfme is really my last show as it were, and I am passing the hat.

It's really a celebration of all the street artists that are and were part of my life.
