We are starting this Go Fund Me for our friends across the hall, The Community Gym, who have been forced to suspend operations due to their ceiling collapsing in no small way.

The Community Gym is an essential source of energy for our neighbourhood. Amie Seier, the gym’s founder, has created a place where people come together; it truly is a second home for many of its members and coaches. The health of our society depends on places like this, especially in an age where technology has taken centre stage. The living, breathing, world requires care, and when the spaces that make life worth living are hurt, we must come together to help them heal.

It is unclear what will be covered by insurance at this point. Through this fundraiser we hope to bridge the gap between what will be covered, and what must be paid for repairs, to support the coaches, and ultimately bring Amie some peace of mind during an incredibly trying time. They have been gracious in pausing all memberships until the gym is back up and running.

The Community leadership team is putting the fullness of their efforts to ensure they are safely up and running in no time. Our hope is that this helps speed up the process to bring the gym together again, stronger than ever.
