To our Commons Community,
Like many other restaurants in NYC and around the world, The Commons Chelsea has decided to shut it’s doors due to the spread of COVID-19. The past week serving coffee & food through our window has been a wonderful escape for many in quarantine. Thank you for coming out to show support through this wild time. However, ultimately it was not financially feasible to continue operating, nor did we feel it was safe for our staff and customers. For now we will do our part to stay home and stop the spread of this virus.
We have been serving the Chelsea neighborhood since 2011. Our goal has always been to bring people together through delicious coffee & food and over the past 9 years, we are so proud of what we have accomplished. From our cooks in the back who have been with us since day 1, to our amazing baristas who greet you every morning - The Commons needs help if we are to come out of this and continue doing what we do best. 100% of these proceeds will go to our team as we navigate through this crisis.
We know that these are tough times for all, and are deeply grateful for whatever you can spare. We can’t wait for this to pass and hope to open stronger when it does.
