The Snap: I'm 23 years old, a month away from graduating university. I've been a competitive multi-sport athlete for 19 years! I was six weeks away from stepping onto the pitch as the newly appointed Vice-Captain of the Nanaimo Cricket Club. A few weeks ago, on March 9th 2026, I completely ruptured my Achilles.

The Mission: For me, "recovery' isn't just about learning how to walk again, but about returning to my main sport a year from now and making the people that watch me play, wonder "That's the guy who fully ripped his Achilles??"

To do that, I'm planning to move to Calgary to undergo high-performance rehabilitation at the University of Calgary Sport Medicine Centre or Group23 Sports Medicine Clinic.

The Insurance Loophole: Here is the reality, as an international student I am caught in a systemic gap. My BC insurance (MSP) won't cover physiotherapy once I cross the border, and I don't qualify for Alberta's provincial coverage as I'm not a student at an Albertan Institution. Between international tuition fees and living expenses, funding elite-level sports rehab out of pocket is a hurdle I cannot clear alone. I have the drive, but I lack the bridge.

The Ask: I am not looking for sympathy, I am looking for a team. I am committed to putting the work in but I need my tribe to help support my recovery blueprint. I am funding this comeback 100% out of pocket, and I am asking my community to clutch up. This GoFundMe will help me cover:
