The Collectors Mind is a project that I have been trying to get off the ground for 3 years and everytime It gets some flight it comes crashing down. The first time was lack of gear, the 2nd time was on screen subjects baling, the 3rd time was funding being pulled, the 4th time was travel restrictions due to COVID.
But time has passed and I have the gear (good enough that is) I have the on screen subjects but what I don't have is enough funding.
The bulk if not all of the funding to make this happen is travel expenses. Gas ain't cheap! Yes COVID is still a real thing and that's why I will be traveling by car or RV rather, to each place to be as safe as possible.
I'm wanting to travel the country, meet interesting and fascinating people. I want to hear their stories and ask them the burning question.... WHY! why do they collect the things they do.
I have been lucky enough to be able to shoot some of this project already and I have been blown away from the answers I have gotten already. But I need your help.
I'm not one to ask for it in this way in fact I HATE asking for money, I would much rather earn it.So I have done fundraising events, selling things like a blu-ray to my old webseries Toy Kings during a 12 hour livestream or making cool action figures and more. But what I have learned is that only goes so far and many people have pointed it out to me that I should get over it and make a gofundme so here it is.
