The Colin Jensen Fund

Colin Jensen is just one of those people you just can’t help but like.  He’s a fun loving, easygoing, trustworthy guy and he’d give you the shirt off his back.  As an employee, he puts the customer first, even if that means not making the sale.  He’s got integrity and takes pride in his work, which is hard to find these days.
 
Colin is an avid cyclist who commutes to work most days, loves to explore on and off-road trails, and completed a self- sustained ride from Sarasota, FL to Austin, TX.  Colin recently purchased an old VW Westfalia camper van that he is planning to restore. And let’s not forget his dog, Oakley, who is our honorary shop dog!

On September 21, 2018, Colin Jensen was diagnosed with Sinonasal Non-Keratinizing Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC), a rare sinus cancer usually found in people over 40.  Colin is only 27.  The cancer has progressed throughout his sinuses and the tumor is currently in contact with his jaw, check bones, nasal, and eye sockets, causing extreme and constant pain.

The standard treatment for SCC is surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments, which creates both a financial and medical challenge.  Colin will be undergoing his first surgery on October 11, 2018.  The treatment will take every ounce of energy that Colin has and will limit his ability to work. We are hoping to help raise funds to offset the cost of his treatment and help Colin and his girlfriend, Hannah, cover some living expenses while he is undergoing treatment. This will hopefully relieve some of the financial burden on them.
