Hi, my name is Heather and I am fundraising to support my sister, Kim, and her family of 5. Kim had kidney stone surgery August 3rd, to place a stent before a follow-up surgery to blast the kidney stone. During this first surgery, her heart stopped during the procedure for 9 seconds! After surgery she left with a heart monitor. Later that day, the cardiologist called and told her to go to the ER right away as she was having more episodes. She went back to the ER where they kept her for a couple days for monitoring because she kept losing consciousness and her heart rate was in the 20's. They talked about possible pacemaker placement but were eventually able to stabilize her heartbeat with medications and released her. August 24th she had her second surgery to blast the kidney stone and that procedure went perfectly. She felt better than she had felt in weeks but unfortunately that was short lived. As the days progressed the nausea continued and she just felt SICK! She called her Urologist today and he recommended she go immediately to get a CT Scan/MRI. He later called her to give her the unfortunate news that her kidneys are packed full of kidney stones and he wants to do another surgery, TOMORROW! They just closed on their first family home in June this year which was a huge achievement for them. With all the recent medical problems and what she is about to experience, she has been out of work and with the financials associated with 3 kids starting school this week, they are behind on their responsibilities and could really use help. I've never put out a Go Fund Me before but I feel pulled to do so for this series of unfortunate events. If you've ever fallen on hard times, you'll probably sympathize with them and how crippling this can feel. And if you haven't, count your blessings!
