Every morning, I wake up in a new place, put on my backpack, and start walking again
toward India.
My name is Jaydip Lakhankiya, and I am The Climate Walker. I am walking
approximately 12,000 km from Malta to India to raise awareness about climate change,
waste, pollution, and the responsibility we all have to care for the places we live in and
pass through.
This journey crosses approximately 20 countries over around 18 months.
But this is not adventure tourism.
This is a climate awareness campaign through visible daily action.
Every day on the road, I collect one bag of garbage.
I know one bag of waste will not solve the climate crisis. But it is real. It is visible. It is
something anyone can understand. I started this walk because I did not want to only
speak about climate change from a distance. I wanted to live the message on the road,
one step at a time.
Climate change can feel too big for one person. Plastic waste, pollution, and
environmental damage can feel overwhelming. But I believe action does not always
have to begin with something big. Sometimes it begins with one person, one road, one
bag of garbage, and one simple message:
Every person can do something.
Some days are beautiful. Some days are exhausting.
I walk through cities, villages, borders, rural roads, and unfamiliar places. I face long
walking hours, changing weather, sore feet, tired legs, rain, heat, difficulty finding safe
places to sleep, and the constant need to stay connected, film the journey, and keep
moving safely.
This journey is already underway, and support is needed to keep it going.

Emergency support if unexpected problems happen on the road
This is not about luxury.
It is about staying safe, staying healthy, staying connected, documenting the journey,
and keeping the climate awareness message alive.
Every donation helps me walk another day. It helps me continue collecting waste,
sharing the message, meeting people along the route, and showing that climate action
can be simple, visible, and human.
