Help Launch Climate Love Studio – A Creative Platform for Climate Action in Ireland

For six years, environmental non-profit Climate Love Ireland has brought people together through art, storytelling, and grassroots climate action. We’ve created workshops, installations, clean-ups, and community events - all volunteer-led. Now, we’re ready to take the next step: launching Climate Love Studio - a creative studio that aims to drive climate action in Ireland.

Why We’re Here
The climate crisis isn’t just a scientific or political issue - it’s a crisis of storytelling. The facts are clear, but facts alone don’t move people. What moves people are stories: bold, hopeful, human stories that show us what’s possible and inspire us to act.

What We’re Building
That’s why we’re creating Climate Love Studios - a cultural catalyst in Ireland. Our mission is to make climate action irresistible by shifting the stories we tell about our future. Through film, art, performance, and campaigns, we’ll build a movement that turns climate concern into climate action.

Why It Matters
Research shows the Irish public care deeply about the climate crisis. But there’s a gap between good intentions and real change. We want to close that gap by weaving climate and care into our culture - making it something to aspire to, celebrate, and live.

How You Can Help
By supporting Climate Love Studios, you’re investing in stories that can unlock policy change, spark community action, and inspire hope where there’s fatigue. With your help, Ireland can lead with creativity and courage in the face of the climate crisis.

To start this new chapter, your support will go to:
Laragh – Curator & Lead of the Home Care Project
Six months of dedicated time to develop a care-based art and storytelling initiative. Care work is often unseen and undervalued, yet it embodies many of the qualities essential for climate response: interdependence, resilience, and the strength of tending to life. This project explores the link between caring for people and caring for the planet, reframing both as vital, relational acts.
Your support will fund:
  • 4 creative workshops with care workers (space rental, materials, travel & food stipends)
  • A short documentary highlighting carers’ stories
  • Camera & sound equipment hire, DOP, and post-production
  • Time to edit, curate, and prepare the work for exhibition

Kez – Campaign Lead on Biodiversity & Public Imagination
Your support will fund:
Six months to develop a creative campaign and educational workshops exploring Irish biodiversity, land, and climate—bridging understanding between rural farming communities and the wider public.
This includes:
• Build a multimedia campaign focused on enhancing and protecting Irish biodiversity
• Build trusted partnerships with farmers, artists, and biodiversity officers to co-create and amplify grounded, local perspectives
• Set up an educational workshop focused on training migrants and economically marginalized people in biodiversity skills
• Engage political decision-makers with powerful, place-based narratives and propose clear, measurable actions to address biodiversity loss

Shared Work with Climate Love Volunteers & Collaborators
  • Ongoing storytelling and communications across our platforms
  • Ongoing in-person community building and events. Climate Love is not just an online community - we are a thriving in-person community that seeks to connect people together to take meaning collaborative action.
  • Deepening collaboration with aligned initiatives like Climate Cocktail Club
  • 2 public film screenings with Patagonia & the Where is She Project
  • Continued running of the Climate Love Book Club with live events
  • Development of a new Climate Love Studio website and visual identity
Your support gives us the time, tools, and stability to keep showing up for this work. Thank you.

Why It Matters
Ireland urgently needs climate spaces that go beyond data and fear — spaces rooted in culture and belonging.

81% of people in Ireland are concerned about climate change, and 75% see extreme weather as a growing threat. Yet, much of the public feels disconnected from current environmental activism.

We’re taking a fresh approach — one that builds common ground instead of division. By using soft-power strategies and inclusive messaging, we aim to make climate action more accessible, unifying, and rooted in community and solutions.

So far, with no core funding, Climate Love Ireland has:
  • Hosted 70+ community events
  • Achieved 100,000s of impressions across our communications channels
  • Partnered with artists, filmmakers, carers, and environmental groups
  • Collaborated with the IMMA, the IFI, Academie du Climate in Paris, The French Embassy, Forest Bathing Wicklow, ReCreate, The Upcycle Movement, NCAD, UCD, The Sick of Plastic Campaign, StopFoodWaste.ie, Food Cloud. Act Now, Eco Hun, The Gaelic Woodland Project, Patagonia and many more.
  • Featured in the RTE 'What Planet are You On?', The Irish Times, The Irish Examiner and multiple online platforms
  • Inspired deeper connection to land, grief, creativity, and each other
Now, we’re ready to scale — not in size, but in depth, resonance, and sustainability.
