Hi, I am Jackie and I am making this on behalf of my parents and sister.

On Wednesday, February 8th, my mother called me to notify me that the apartment was filled with smoke and their beloved dog remained in the apartment. As I stood next to my mother and father watching the event unfold, I knew we no longer would be able to call that apartment their home. The apartment building floors ended up collapsing making it uninhabitable.

On a positive note, the greatest miracle occurred when my father received word that their beloved dog was alive. She survived and is currently in the hospital receiving treatment for smoke inhalation. We are grateful to have her back, but reality has now set in that everything else is gone.

The funds raised will go towards essentials for my parents and sister. We have a long road before attaining normalcy, but we will get to it together.
