Hello, my name is Venessa, and I am part of a community effort to support my younger brother, Tristan Ciccotosto, and his family.
Tristan and his wife, Alana, have two beautiful children: 2-year-old Samuel and 4-month-old Hannah. Shortly after the birth of their second child, Tristan was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS); a type of cancer that prevents the formation of healthy blood cells. He now faces a challenging journey of intensive treatment, including chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant, which will span up to a year with careful monitoring and isolation. During this time, Tristan will be unable to work, leaving the family in need of financial and emotional support.
Tristan is a cherished friend, a loving father, and a devoted husband. He works as a painter, providing the main income for his family. Alana not only cares full-time for their children but will also be his primary caregiver during treatment. They are a compassionate family who have always extended themselves to help others in their community; and now they find themselves in a position where they could use our support.
They have had move away from the support of their extended family to relocate to Brisbane so that Tristan can receive long-term treatment and care. We hope to raise funds to alleviate the financial strain they are enduring, covering medical expenses and supporting Tristan's treatment and beloved family. Your support, no matter the amount, will make a significant difference. If you are unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing this appeal to others in your community.
Tristan and his family have requested that any funds raised beyond their needs be donated to the Leukaemia Foundation.
Thank you for considering supporting Tristan and his family during this challenging time.
