My best friend Becky and her husband AJ recently welcomed their 2nd child, a beautiful baby boy, Arthur John Jr. He was born this past Wednesday night, December 9th. Delivery went well, mom & baby were doing well. Later throughout that night, baby started to get very upset and sick and started to take a turn for the negative. He was rushed to the NICU. Since then, he has been diagnosed with Congenital CMV which is a very serious disease that can lead to liver failure, blindness, deafness, internal bleeding and so many more terrifying things. It can be life threatening and have serious long term effects. They are currently unable to hold him or even touch him right now. He is currently being treated with anti viral medications and a chemotherapy type of medicine via IV.
Becky and AJ also have a soon to be 2 year old little girl, Harper at home. She is the sweetest little thing and is looking forward to being an amazing big sister to this sweet guy.
This is just the beginning of what sounds like could be a long journey for their family and this little guy. They and he need all the thoughts and prayers you can give and send! All the uplifting comments you can give will be much appreciated and not go unnoticed.
If you are able to donate financially to help with the accruing medical costs during this very difficult time, it is much appreciated! During this season of joy and giving, they are experiencing a lot of burden and stress, please let him any way you can!
Thanks in advance!
