The Chris Gola Family Support Fund

Hi All, my name is Chris Giovanniello and I'm from Burlington, MA.  I've been best friends with Chris Gola since we met at age 7 playing little league.  As many of you have heard, Gola (some people call him Chris) has been in the ICU battling courageously for his life for over six weeks now. His lungs are in pretty rough shape, but he has miraculously fought back to stabilize his condition and hopefully start the long road to recovery. He didn't earn the nickname in high school of the "5ft 7in packet of steel" for nothing!

Gola is in great hands and being taken care of by the amazing nurses and doctors at Mass General Hospital. His wife Laurie has been updating us multiple times a day on his progress while working and taking care of their daughter Maddy. Many of you have reached out asking how you can help. First and foremost your love and prayers are needed (and they are making a big difference!) so please keep those coming.

For anyone who finds themselves wanting to help but feeling helpless – this fund raise is intended to ease the financial burden on Gola, Laurie and Maddy and help them focus on whatever he needs as he works his way back to health.   Whether that be medical expenses, home care expenses, or other challenging expenses that the Gola's may be faced with while Chris is unable to work.

As anyone who has had the pleasure to befriend Chris Gola knows, (and I've had that pleasure for over 42 of my 49 years on this planet) he is the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back, no questions asked, whether he's known you for 42 years or 42 minutes. He's an amazing friend, father, husband, brother and son, and now's the time where we need to step up and help him in his time of need.
