In a series of very unfortunate and somewhat unknown events, Chowder has been critically hospitalized after losing the use of his front left leg. An abscess formed and grew up into his neck and chest, and is about the size of a grapefruit. After an initial operation to reduce it, things have become much more serious.

Sadly, this isn't covered under any insurance and the next steps include full sedation and intrusive surgery to remove the dead areas and hopefully save it spreading to other critical parts of his body. The skin has developed necrosis and they fear there may be some other underlying issues.

I wouldn't be doing this unless it was urgent, but right now, every little bit helps. I know Chowder has a lot of friends out there (definitely more than me), so if there is anything you can do to help it would be much appreciated, and I know Chowder will be forever grateful.

I will keep this updated with his progress as the timeline is slightly unknown, as well as the hopeful recovery.

He is currently on an IV and serious painkillers, however his personalty and smile have come back after being gone for the last week.
