Athlete X's "Choose Kind Project" aims to raise awareness for the mental wellbeing of young men through custom tee shirts. All the profits go to supporting the Kai Eardley Foundation and the Tomorrow Man Project.
Much like the Kai Eardley Foundation, and the Tomorrow Man Project, Athlete X's "Choose Kind Project" was formed out of necessity. Suicide has touched many of us in some way, whether it be a friend, relative or family member, and this was the reason the Choose Kind Project began.
Five thousand dollars is an enormous target. However, with these funds, one hundred young men will have the chance to attend the workshops which I wish I had when I was a teenager. The workshops that are run by the Kai Eardley Foundation focus on exploring the male stereotype, their individual emotional resilience and what it means to be a man in the 21st century.
Speaking for myself, there were times when workshops like this would have made an unfathomable difference in my life. Throughout my entire adolescent life, I struggled at times with my identity, emotions and mental wellbeing and I had very little knowledge as to how to deal with it. Nobody finds their teenage years easy, but I believe that if we can begin changing the male stereotype and what it means to be a man, then it will have a ripple effect for our next generation of young men.
Feel free to donate to help us closer to our goal of putting one hundred young men through these workshops. Any contribution will help greatly.
