Beings we reached are goal so fast, we are raising the bar. If the go fund me hits 20k all the JR employees are going to shave their heads. Let's make this happen so im not the only egg head on the jobsite.
On Sunday, September 14, 2025, my buddy Nick got hit with some news nobody ever expects — he was diagnosed with APL Leukemia after sudden bleeding and bruising on the job. What he thought was just a weird fluke turned out to be something life changing.
Nick and his wife, Lilly, have been married not even a year, and they’ve got a baby boy due in January 2026. What should be one of the most exciting times of their lives has instead turned everything being turned upside down.
Right now, Nick’s at St. Joe’s Hospital starting chemo, and because of treatment, he will have a tough time being there for Lilly and baby, and he won’t be able to get back to his job anytime soon.
Cancer sucks no matter what, but this timing just feels especially rough.
I work with Nick, and I wanted to do something to help him and Lilly out. If you know me, you know I’ve had a beard forever — I haven’t been clean-shaven since high school. But here’s the deal:
If we raise $10,000, I’ll shave it all off for the first time in 11+ years.
Every little bit helps them with bills, baby prep, and the mountain of stuff that comes with a diagnosis like this. If you can’t donate, no worries — just keep Nick and Lilly in your prayers and share this with others.
Thanks for backing them. Let’s help take some weight off their shoulders so they can focus on fighting this and welcoming their baby boy.
