Hi, my name is Sofia and I am fundraising for my soul dog, Lena. I adopted Lena at the age of 3 and she has been the best companion I could ever wish for.

Two years ago, Lena was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and we almost lost her, but after aggressive treatment, she beat it. After recovery, Lena was stronger and happier than ever, aging backwards almost.

A few months ago, Lena began showing weakness in her hind limbs and has been diagnosed with Lumbosacral Disease. Without this surgery, Lena may become completely incontinent and lose the ability to control her hind limbs. The good news is that this is a treatable condition! After trying other treatments, the doctors decided she needs surgery to stabilize her spine. Lena would make a great candidate for this surgery and is expected to get improvement in her mobility and relief from this surgery.
