We are writing this on behalf of Joshua's family.
We would like to help them give Josh the wonderful send off he deserves.
All who knew Josh will know he was an absolute warrior who fought so hard.
Josh has touched so many people's lives with his contagious smile and laugh.
Any support towards Josh's funeral would be greatly appreciated.
JOSHUA'S STORY
Joshua Michael Carless was born a healthy happy baby.
4 months later he was the victim of a non-accidental injury. Joshua had sustained a fractured skull and haemorrhaging all over his brain and at the back of his eyes. He was not expected to survive.
The haemorrhaging caused severe brain damage, which left him quadriplegic-unable to do anything at all for himself. The injury caused visual impairment and epilepsy which had to be controlled with medication. He was unable to eat and fed via a tube in his stomach.
In 2014 Josh had spinal rod surgery to correct the severe scoliosis in his back. This was major surgery but again Josh defied the odds and recovered quickly.
Despite all of his medical problems he was always smiling and laughing.
Josh exceeded several life expectancies given by healthcare professionals.
But sadly on 2nd October, at the age of 22, he lost his fight and gained his angel wings.
He was an inspiration to all who knew him and was loved by everybody who met him.
