The Cedarburg Grow Forward Fund '93
Donation protected
All:
It’s been 25 years since we have graduated from Cedarburg High School. That time in our lives was so very important setting us up to who we are today. We have gone in many different directions in life but we all grew up in a very special place, Cedarburg.
I can’t thank the Class of 92’ enough for the work they did last summer to pave the way for future classes. It was inspiring to watch the donations from classmates and other past classmates contribute to The Grow Forward Fund. Peter Gray and his committee did a remarkable job in putting this groundbreaking idea together and this fund needs to continue with the Class of 93’.
The goal of $25,000 will start on May 18th 2018 and will close on Friday August 12th, 2018. The money will be presented to the city of Cedarburg and the Cedarburg School System that weekend.
The ‘gift’ could be a one-time payout to a graduate as an annual fund or could benefit multiple students over a series of years. These decisions will be made together from members of our class. We can then decide on how and when the donation will be giving to the student(s).
To quote Peter Gray and the Class of 92’. “The primary focus of the campaign is us- the CHS Class of 1993. While we don’t anticipate complete class participation, we do know our result will be among the biggest scholarship funds in our community & school’s history- and, of course, we’ll welcome all contributions regardless of their size or source.”
We have all grown over the past 25 years, which has lead us in different directions. This is not an obligation but a chance to help make a difference in some lives of young Cedarburg students who are striving to get to that next level in life.
Peter Gray, the class of 1992, and their committee, have built a great foundation for future students in the city of Cedarburg.
I will leave you with some words of encouragement. I meet with people from all over the country and world on a weekly basis. I am asked where are you from, and with a very confident response I say Cedarburg, WI. I can’t tell you how PROUD I am to say that and it never gets old. We are all so fortunate to have grown up in a community that gave us a great education and many opportunities to grow as individuals. Let’s try and do the same and raise the money needed to help our future professionals from our great city of Cedarburg.
I hope everyone has a great 2018 and I know we can achieve this goal of $25,000 by working TOGETHER!
Warm regards,
Brian Dyke
