The Cedar Wind Center

I am raising funds to help launch the Cedar Wind Center for Mind Body Arts - a space of stillness, movement and the exploration of potential.

The main fundraising goal is to help remove the staircase that divides the space and makes use of the entire studio very difficult. Taking this large central staircase out and replacing it with a small access stair in the far corner will double the effective size of the studio, allowing more freedom of movement and expansion of our class offerings. I believe that this renovation will be a transformative experience for the space, and will benefit all who come to the Cedar Wind Center to practice the arts that let us thrive.

The initial goal of $9000 will cover the cost of this renovation project. It includes a hired contractor to safely remove the existing stairs and refinish where they were removed along with the cost of a new spiral staircase. I am installing the new stairs with volunteers, which is keeping this project within an attainable budget!

Additional Funds received over the $9000 will be used for further startup goals, so if we attain the renovation budget I will update the campaign. I will use the funds to help enhance our center and our experience, so the more we raise the more energy will go into our center! Some of what I would like to invest in are meditation cushions, a lending library, solar ground lights for night class safety, a few choice aesthetic items, some grounds work...

I believe that the Cedar Wind Center will become a real oasis for our community. My hope is that there is a tremendous lift in our spirits and feelings of beauty, harmony and inspiration the moment we enter the space. Thank you for being on this journey!
