The Cat Lady needs your help

Hello, my name is Isabela. I am 56 years old. People call me the Cat Lady because for over 30 years I have dedicated my life to feeding street cats and providing them with medical care. For most of my adult life, street cats and the cats that live with me are my children and my family. Unfortunately today I am ill and in a few days I will have a surgery on my lower back and on my left leg because of a blockage in a vein . This blockage is putting me at risk of losing my leg altogether even after the surgery. I have no one, no relatives to help me, I only have my cats to give me love. For that reason, I am here today because I need your help.

I always was a strong person, I work everyday very hard to provide for me and my "children", my cats.

With the proceeds of my job I feed the street cats, I take them to the veterinarian and pay for all medical fees, I buy food for them, medicine ( insulin, medicine for thyroids, fluids, antibiotics) to save the life of those that need these medicines.

I also take care of people much older than me. I do volunteer helping with food, cleaning yards, cleaning houses, and doing simple repairs in their houses free of charge.

During the pandemic I lost one job, and now I have health problems, The money that I have will not be sufficient to cover all my expenses during the time that I will be incapable of walking. I was told by the doctor that I will be facing 1 month in bed and several months of intense therapy in the event that the vein must be removed.

My insurance does not cover everything. I have to pay for a portion of the surgery and the medicines I must take. I currently have difficulties walking and to stay standing up. I work cleaning houses. I am struggling greatly already.

I continue to go out every day to feed the cats because this is the only meal they have. They wait for me everyday in the same spot where they know to meet me. Some of them were born on the streets some others were abandoned. It breaks my heart to think that in a few days I will not be able to afford to buy their food, or mine.

I have to pay for my rent and for my bills and to buy food, and medicine for me and the cats.

Please help me. Any help will make a great difference.
