The Caring Package Project
Donation protected
The Caring Package Project was inspired by the countless family, friends and loved ones whose lives were taken or affected by cancer. I lost my mom to cancer ten years ago and some of the deepest resonating memories during the time of her treatments was the amount of love and thoughtfulness that exists within that community. The purpose of the Caring Package Project is to provide individualized comfort essentials to low-income patients currently undergoing treatment for cancer. Some examples of items that may be included are carrying bags, blankets, organizers for paperwork, thermoses, oncology cookbooks, skin-care items, nutrient rich snacks and journals are some examples of what would be included. What is unique to this project is that we are looking to create beautiful, thoughtful gift boxes that consider who each person is and will purchase items for their Caring Package based on the feedback from each patient as to who they are, what they like and what represents them in terms their own distinct being.
Our main goal is to let each recipient of a Caring Package know that they are thought of, loved and supported. We are currently in contact with people from the Women’s Cancer Resource Center, Stanford Healthcare and UCSF to distribute packages to people going through treatment; we would love your support in bringing the gift of comfort and support for those who are going through a difficult passage in life.
May we find you health and happiness! Thank you sincerely for your consideration and support
