Several months ago, our friends Alicia and Cesar shared a heartbreaking diagnosis for Cesar, olfactory neuroblastoma, an extremely rare form of cancer. After months of surgery and radiation, Cesar is finally winning the battle and on the road to recovery. But unfortunately, the family's struggle is just beginning.
Two weeks ago, Alicia was devastated with the diagnosis of stage 3 breast cancer. With surgeries, radiation and chemotherapy all in her immediate future, Alicia will be unable to work for an extended time. She is incredibly strong, positive and motivated by her family – Cesar, Evony (a senior at San Marcos High), Selena (a sophomore at San Marcos) and Josh (a 6th grader at Vieja Valley). The family is grateful for the help they received during Cesar's treatment, but up until now, they have not asked for anything beyond our love and support.
But after this unimaginable turn of events, they need more, they need financial support from the community. Please, please contribute whatever you can – no amount is too small. We are grateful for all the love and support for this beautiful family and look forward to the day when we will announce that both Cesar and Alicia are cancer free.
