As many of you are aware my name is Devin. I’m the (favorite) brother of Julie, our cackling, spitfire, (kinda) funny, loving chick. If you’ve met Julie, trust me, you won’t ever forget her. Between her free spirit and her passion for owning a zoo-sized amount of dogs(Hulk, Zelly, Pumpkin, Lilo), she exudes her personality onto anyone she meets. Julie has always lived her life to the fullest, experiencing many things as a “normal” 20 something does. She has been married to my brother Coltin, who’s in the US Navy, for nearly 6 years. She has acted as a glue for not only his life, but our entire family. She works, takes care of their family, and enjoys spending time with loved ones in her free time. Up until last week, she experienced fairly normal symptoms of what was thought to be Covid/Flu, so she expressed these concerns to her PCP. After many, many blood tests, it was determined that our Cancer friend/sister/daughter/aunt/dog momma has been diagnosed with B-cell AL (acute leukemia) presenting with a Philadelphia chromosome. In other words, her white blood cells and bone marrow aren’t allowed to do their jobs. This fundraiser is not a cry for help or pity, but more so a means to foster community and family around my brother Coltin and his wife Julie. Anything donated will go towards all medical expenses, food, hotel stays (the hospital she’s at is roughly 2 hours from their home), gas, and any other unexpected expenses they may need. Any amount or words of encouragement are greatly appreciated.
