Hello, 

I am posting this in hopes to relieve some financial stress my family is facing. My sisters and I are doing everything we can to help but the financial burden is overwhelming. My mom was diagnosed with an aggressive form of bone marrow cancer and was given 2.5 years to live. Her spleen has more than doubled in size to try and accommodate cell regeneration because her bone marrow is functioning at  five percent. Her only hope for a cure is to receive a bone marrow transplant, which is a very risky, lengthy and painful process. The process involves a complete removal of her bone marrow, which will compromise her immune system. Her body will basically be starting over and her defense mechanisms will be equal to that of a newborn. Doctors have instructed her to relocate and informed her that she will have to spend several months in confined treatment while her body rebuilds. The anticipated medical bills for this kind of treatment is frightening and overwhelming. My mom will be facing a very difficult and challenging recovery which is why I want to make sure she has nothing extra to worry about. Currently, my parents live in a home that is deteriorating and is not livable. It is a small two bedroom home build in 1943 and needs to be torn down. She will not be able to live there after treatment. My sisters and I are doing the best we can to save money to build a hiline home on their lot.
