Rommel and Melissa welcomed their handsome son Elliott into the world on July 4, after years of effort. Unfortunately, Rommel was diagnosed with prostate cancer shortly before Elliott’s birth and underwent surgery to remove his prostate on July 23. Only three days into Rommel’s recovery from successful surgery, Elliott was taken to the hospital with a high fever. After blood testing and a spinal tap, baby Elliott was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection.
Because Elliott is only three weeks old his doctors admitted him to the hospital and he will remain there for two weeks, while he is given a course of antibiotics to be taken through a picc line (implanted iv).
We all know that Rommel and Melissa are some of the most genuine and kind-hearted people around. They deserve a break.
This fundraising effort is being initiated to help lift some of the burden off of Rommel and Melissa so that they can concentrate on their family healing. Any amount helps.
