Hi, my name is Ian, I am an Activities Coordinator at SignaCare Killerig which is a small Nursing Home based in Co. Carlow that provides long term Residential Care for Older Persons. Normally we would have held many Fundraisers within the Nursing Home for both national & local Charities, sadly the pandemic has put a stop to this.
However, not all hope is lost as the Residents and Staff here at SignaCare Killerig have decided to complete 100km over the month of March, our Residents along with the support of the team will be aiming to reach the target in our beautiful Gardens, whilst the staff will be taking on the challenge in their free time. We will be sharing updates of our Residents and Staff completing the challenge via our Facebook, SignaCare Killerig.
All proceeds will be donated to The Cáirdeas Centre Tullow, Co. Carlow which is an adult service whose aim is to support adult presence, participation and contribution in and with the community. The centre provides day services to adults with intellectual disability and autistic spectrum disorders. The services are developed to meet the individual needs of the service user using a person centred approach.
Our Residents are super excited about this initiative, and happy to be supporting a local group. Thank you for your support, please share and wish us luck.
