Hey there, it's Mike and Nicole! We're shooting a short film in November and we need your help.
"The Cache" is the story of a woman traveling through a post-apocalyptic wilderness on a mission to uncover a world-altering secret. On her journey she must navigate both environmental hazards and dangerous fellow travelers. Yes, it's a covid-inspired story; it's also a covid-friendly production in that we'll be shooting outdoors and social distancing on set.
This is an ambitious project requiring the use of VFX and futuristic production design. We've dreamed of making projects like this since we were kids and we find ourselves blessed to know an amazing group of professional filmmakers here in Utah who can pull it off. With your help, we can pay them what their time is worth and realize our childhood dreams of telling spectacular stories like this.
We feel that our story serves the current moment on planet Earth. Post apocalyptic fiction is a vehicle for reflection on the kind of world we want to build and the kind we want to avoid. We feel that we have something important to say about that.
We're shooting in early November. Your donations will allow us to engage the services of top-notch professionals: a cinematographer, camera operator, sound recordist, concept artist, VFX artist, and others. Your donations will also allow us to submit our film to festivals around the world.
