The Burghduff Family
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Karyn Skalla and I have started this GoFundMe page for my sister-in-law, Tracey, and her daughters, Aurora and Quinn. Yesterday, April 9th, 2022, the lives of the Burghduff family changed forever as Larry Burghduff unexpectedly passed away. Larry was a hard worker, a loving father and husband and always willing to lend a hand to anyone. He was helping a friend when he fell ill and was rushed to the hospital. He then was airlifted to another medical center, where his symptoms quickly declined. He ultimately suffered from a massive blood clot. Tracey will be taking time away from work to be home with their two daughters. These funds will go directly to the Burghduff family to help alleviate the burden of medical, financial, and living expenses. They need your help!
The Burghduff family has always been so dedicated to their friends and families. I want to take some time to describe their family a little more to help you understand just how great they are! Larry worked in construction most of his life and has always been a hard worker. When not on the job, you would find him working on his family farm down the road where they lived. Tracey and Larry have been married for 15 years. Tracey's roommate in college, Crystal, introduced her to her cousin, Larry and the immediate attraction was inevitable. Life is a rollercoaster, but if anyone could take it on, it was Tracey and Larry. Tracey and Larry have been involved with their girls' sports, coaching softball last season and cheering them on during volleyball and basketball season. They have also been known to host giant sleepovers that included all Aurora and Quinn's friends!
Aurora is 12 years old, and Quinn is ten years old. They love their Dad! He loved getting his girls outside to garden with him, hunt, help on the farm, etc. He took the time to teach, support and encourage them to try new things. He has also significantly influenced his niece's and nephews' lives. Larry had a passion for the great outdoors and loved hunting. When they could get away, their family enjoyed camping in the summer. Four years ago, the Burghduff family bought their dream home near Marion, WI. It is a one-hundred-year-old farmhouse that they had big plans to renovate and make theirs. Larry was ready to do the work himself and make it perfect for the three women in his life and their dogs. He has always been a very involved father and husband.
Tracey, Aurora, and Quinn have a rough road ahead as they navigate life without Larry.
We ask for any compassion and generosity you can offer to Tracey and her family. Please consider donating to the GoFundMe we have created for them. Any amount you can give will help them spend less time stressing over finances and more time concentrating on healing.
Thank you.
Please reach out to Steve or Karyn Skalla if you want to donate privately.
I will be setting up a food schedule if you would like to drop them off or send a meal. I will post the link here when it is finalized.
