On or about October 21, our daughter Brynda, who is 40 yrs old, was at work at "On The Rox" in Houston Texas and all of a sudden, like a light switch went off in her brain, and she now has no short term memory. She literally didn't know what Table to take her order out to.
She has been to 2 different hospitals in Houston without a accurate diagnosis. I, being her father, went and picked her up and brought her to Dallas and took her to Presbyterian Hospital ER in Plano. I explained to them what was going on and they did a CT, blood work up and urinalysis. There were no drugs in her system at all but her liver levels were elevated. After 12 hours in the ER they they said they were going to send her to the Seay Behavioral Center next door to detox because they believed it could be alcohol related. She spent 5 days there without any signs withdrawal or demons but was somewhat delusional and they cut her loose. They said she should see a Neurologist, even though they had a Neurologist on staff there. Brynda was no better off then when she went in. Can't remember anything 2 minutes later. She unfortunately has no insurance and no one will see her without it, but if she were only an illegal immigrant they have all kinds of programs too help. Unbelievable!!!
Brynda has 3 children who I brought up here for Thanksgiving break for 7 days that left yesterday. She just asked me if Thanksgiving was this coming up this Thursday and has no recollection of her children being here. If you ask her how long she's been here she says 4 to 5 days, it's been 32 days today. She has lost 11lbs. She won't eat or drink unless you put it in front of her. Her condition is getting worse by the day...
She has $6 in her checking account, her truck has been repossessed. Her children's father is struggling to make ends meet in her absence since she can no longer contribute .
She needs an MRI and a Neurologist formost to see if she may have had a Mini Stroke or something else. Friends and family are saying it could be Wet brain, Cronic Mold Syndrome or even Lyme Disease.
We need financial help for her so we can get to the root of the problem before it gets any worse..
Thoughts, prayers and a donation of any size would be greatly appreciated.
