We ask for your help for the Brunner Family.
Joe was out on a motorcycle ride in the Clark County Forest, on a trail that he has ridden since he was a young kid. Joe is a very experienced and cautious rider, but on Friday he was faced with some unexpected changes to the trail due to some recent logging. As Joe was going up a small hill, he could see in the distance that the trail continued straight beyond the hill. As he crested the hill, he found that the trees that had previously indicated a bend in the trail had all been cut allowing for a view of the trail beyond the clear cut. Joe’s reaction time was fast, it was obvious that he was on the brakes as soon as he crested the hill but could not slow down enough as he entered the field of tree stumps. Joe suffered many broken fingers and ribs along with a punctured lung. But most significantly, a complete spinal cord injury.
This is a life changing event not only for Joe, but for his wife, Kozi, and their children, Evie (8)and Rhett (6). As they navigate all that is ahead, we are looking to raise funds to support them.
Joe has always been the first person to grab his tool belt and help someone out when they are struggling. Joe is also the guy that calls someone when they need emotional support because a friend or family member is sick. Joe has organized people to help others, sometimes to build things, and other times to get tee-shirts printed just to let someone know their friends are thinking of them.
Joe and Kozi could really use your support at this time. Please consider donating through this page, or reach out for Joe and Kozi’s mailing address if you would prefer.
