The Breeze's Title IX FOIA Cost
Donation protected
The Breeze has filed a Freedom of Information Act request with James Madison University for a host of documents and data about sexual assault at JMU to push for transparency about the reality of collegiate sexual assault at JMU. The university has charged The Breeze $2,217.00 for the data and documents.
The release of this data to The Breeze will allow us to publish an honest account of student safety on campus — an essential topic for university transparency. This information is for students and the community.
As The Breeze cannot fully fund the cost of this FOIA request, so we are fundraising part of the cost of the request and greatly appreciate community support in opening this information to public eyes.
Any remaining funds will go to The Breeze to fund future FOIA requests.
