Brain Tumour Charity - Summer Fundraiser
My Name is Mark Whitehouse,
In 2023, at the age of 26 my son Jack was diagnosed with not 1 but 2 large Brain Tumours. He'd had some trouble with his eyesight for a few days and went to the optician for an eye test. From there he was sent straight to hospital and didn't come home for over 2 months.
Jack's diagnosis was devastating for us as a family and affects us all daily.
Jack has had brain surgery to remove as much from the frontal tumour as possible but the rear is inoperable. The surgery has affected him greatly and he faces many challenges on a daily basis - All of which he overcomes with a bravery that makes me very proud and humble. Jack is a trouper and a legend.
I've done fund raising for the Brain Tumour Charity before but on 26th of May with the help of my local pub I'm holding a Bank Holiday Summer Party & charity day with live music, BBQ, face painting, auctions etc. This will be at the Waggon & Horses Pub in Tipton, West Midlands
In addition, for all those unable to attend but that wishing to help I'm setting up this page to try to add a little more to the pot.
Brain tumours are one of the biggest cancer killers for the under 40s and yet the research receives very little funding in comparison.
Please, if you can help raise money and awareness for this much underfunded charity.
Thank you all
