Hi there I’m Sharon and one of my dearest friends has been going through a really hard time since June 1. She and her hubby had to rush their youngest to the ER. That hospital then rushed him to another one’s ICU. Then he was helicoptered to the U of C’s Comer Children’s Hosp.

And it’s cancer. In his lung. They’ve removed most of it through 2 procedures thank Goodness but he’s having a 3rd surgery, a Lobectomy, this coming Friday, 7/29. That means partial removal of his right lung. The tumor base is growing from inside his airway & they might need to reconstruct it. Goes without saying, an extremely serious procedure.

So. Asking for Prayers please and for Donations. Melissa’s been like a sister to me since we were 14. It’s beyond excruciating for your child to be battling lung cancer, but to also be worried about the financial piece…to fear going into debt too. Insurance covers a lot but still. You’ve got to take off work a ton over the past 2 months & you run out of paid time off. And Brian had just started a whole new job, after battling a serious health issue of his own for nearly a year…you’ve gotta take unpaid leave - it’s just so much.

They are truly the kindest, most genuine people and they’re such incredible parents to their boys.
