THE BOYER/DELAROSA FAMILY FIRE FUND

Dearest friends,

We are heart broken to report that our beloved friends and community leaders Sam Boyer & Yvonne Delarosa Green have lost everything in the Malibu fires. They evacuated from their Malibu home on Friday November 9th barely making it out alive before being consumed by smoke and flames. Due to the lack of power and cell service they were in the dark literally to what was going on and that they were so closely in the line of fire. They were not notified to evacuate and there were no emergency services available in their area. They were all on their own surviving to get out alive.

Gratefully, they were able to get their baby Summer Rain and their 3 pups and kitty in the car and safely down the canyon and for that we are so grateful. They were not able to pack up their precious belongings, memories and their life’s work. We found out yesterday that their home was not spared and it was burned to the ground and they have lost everything.

We are so sad to see our friends have everything taken from them. If you know Sam and Yvonne then you know that they are angels and have helped so many of us in our community when we have needed help and they are the first to offer their home when someone is in need and they are the ones who have stood in the frontlines to help patients access safe and legal access to cannabis- way back when they risked being raided and arrested - these two stood up for our personal freedoms and healing and most recently they helped our most vulnerable in our community by donating all their time and giving their entire life savings to pass Measure G in Malibu.

As you know our community is a community of love and in this hard time, we are pulling together resources to help them begin to rebuild their lives and to get them 911 basic needs such as food, diapers, clothes, toiletries etc. Their situation is particularly challenging because due to the federal rules on banking they have no money saved and all their money lost in the fire. Unfortunately during the last few months of working for the people in Malibu to change the cannabis law, their insurance lapsed and they were uninsured. They must start from scratch without any insurance funds to assist. To make matters even worse their only source of income is their shop - The 99 High Tide which is closed due to the fires and Malibu closures.

In order to help them immediately and in the long term rebuild their family’s home we have set up a PayPal account to support them through this challenging time.

In this time of terrible tragedy we open our hearts and lean on our friends and community and I know together we can accomplish so much- We know how much everyone wants to help Sam, Yvonne and Summer Rain and they thank you all with all their hearts and soul.

P.S. We will also start an Amazon wish list if you care to donate that way as well. We will also begin collecting donation items as well for them which can be dropped off at 22775 PCH, right next door to the 99 High Tide ( As soon as Malibu re-opens)

Thank you for following this page for new up to date information on our beloved friends Sam, Yvonne and Sumner Rain. Please share on your page to let friends know how they can help.

There is also a PayPal link for donations that can be used and shared! paypal.me/99familylove
