Janell, Tera, and Tanner want to welcome you to their GoFundMe site. On November 14th, 2019, their amazing father and husband, John Bolte, left his body peacefully, with total grace and dignity.
When Janell's husband, John Bolte, was diagnosed six years ago with Stage IV lung cancer at the age of 43, despite never having smoked, he was given a 5% chance of living 2 years.
John bravely faced chemotherapy, radiation, surgeries, and clinical trials for nearly 6 years- tripling his life expectancy.
John peacefully passed away at home surrounded by family and friends with their beloved dog, Gouda, curled at his feet. Janell shares, "It was the most easy, ordinary, miraculous experience that I have ever had. He died in my arms whole and healed. It was sacred and mundane, as is all of life."
The family is grateful for the outpouring of love and offers of help. We have set up this GoFundMe account for the future of John's wife and children.
As Janell so beautifully reminds those she loves, "Allow yourself to be moved, to be shaken, to be uncomfortable. Avoid nothing- not even death. Leave nothing on the table because our time here isn’t guaranteed and truly the only difference between John and me (and you) is a prognosis."
With so very much love,
Janell, Tanner, Tera and lil’ Gouda Bolte
