Jason Bodde and the Bodde Family
Donation protected
Jason Bodde, a loving, hardworking husband and father of two, is suffering from renal failure. He was diagnosed with Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), a type of kidney disease, in 2009 when he applied for life insurance before the birth of his daughter, Penny. He has currently been on the transplant list for 6 years.
Courtney and Jason have always been devoted and responsible parents to their children, Penny and Max. The entire family has excellent health insurance, which also happens to be the preferred insurance of the transplant hospital. However, the medical bills are only starting. Can you imagine going to your mailbox and opening one of many surprise bills for $1,xxx?
Since January of this year, Jason underwent surgery to place a peritoneal dialysis catheter in his belly. He started home dialysis two weeks ago and does it every day. Each night he connects to his dialysis machine and has to stay connected for 8 hours to complete the dialysis cycle. With the hours of his job, he is having to connect at 5pm each evening which makes it difficult to be the active, hands on father he likes to be. He's trying to work as long as possible before being transplanted but with the manual labor he does for work, it's a challenge.
Any help, no matter how small, would be appreciated more than you could ever imagine. Thanks for reading and supporting the Bodde family!
