Hi, my name is Dandy Strider, and I am the creator of The Board, an original comic book series that has been years in the making. The Board is set in Amarillo, Texas, and follows the journey of The Crowned Eagle, a vigilante driven by a relentless crusade for justice. This is not just a superhero story. It is about resilience, trauma, hope, and the ways people can rise above the darkness in their lives to fight for something greater!
I have poured countless hours into building this world, writing dialogue, shaping characters, and laying down the foundation for a story I believe can truly impact readers. The Crowned Eagle is not just another caped figure. He represents perseverance, selflessness, and the strength it takes to stand up even when everything seems stacked against you. My dream is to bring this vision to life through high-quality storytelling and artwork, and I am grateful to be working with Ray Dillon, a professional comic book artist whose talent brings these characters and scenes vividly to life.
The challenge is that comic creation is not cheap. Each page of professional artwork comes at a significant cost, and while I have been investing as much as I can personally, I have reached the point where outside support is the only way to keep this project alive and moving forward. That is why I started this GoFundMe. Not just to fund a book, but to bring a dream into reality. Every dollar raised will go directly toward covering the costs of Ray’s artwork, as well as lettering, coloring, and production, so The Board can move from script to finished pages. After funding has been reached, backers will be offered an issue of the comic as a thank you for helping make this project possible.
