The Boams

Melissa’s husband, Dave, was diagnosed with Pulminary Fibrosis which caused his health to rapidly decrease in front of his family’s eyes. His only hope was a lung transplant. Their prayers were answered in June of this year when they got the call that he would be receiving the life saving surgery. Dave has been in and out of ICU and and after many complications and set backs, Dave is still in ICU. With his struggles, Melissa is fighting to keep him healthy, visit him, take care of her new high schooler and four-year old, as well as work as a full-time teacher. Melissa needs to be by his side and there for her kids. She was unable to get short-term disability and needs funds to be able to take off work to be Dave and the kids. We are collecting money to help her be financially able to take off. With so much on her plate and the uncertainty of Dave’s health, the timing is crucial.
