The Blackshear Battle

Hello, my name is Angie Blackshear and my story starts with what should have been a simple knee surgery. I went into the hospital on June 27, 2018 and had a successful knee surgery. Unfortunately, I was not given adequate instructions for when I went home. On July 4th I had an emergency surgery for a ruptured colon. This resulted in the placement of a colostomy and a wound vac for the part of my stomach they had to leave open because of infection. I had the wound vac attached until October and since I am a teacher this was very bad timing because school started back in August! In July my gallbladder went bad and I had a huge gallbladder attack. I worked until December 21st and then again 2 days in January. THEN came the glorious day to get my colostomy reversal...January 11th! My doctor thought he could do my surgery with the robot but he ended up having to remove my gallbladder, a hernia that was full of infection, and the reversal in full fledged surgery. What was supposed to be a 3-5 day stay in the hospital turned into 75 days and counting! My days have been filled with blood transfusions, cat scans, lots of worry, and a very important issue... no work and no income! I have been in the hospital for 75 days and counting! This is the reason for the GoFundMe account! Our bills are spiraling out of control and we need some help. OH did I say "our"? Yes, yes I did because my husband and I have only been married 15 months and 9 of those I have either been sick or in the hospital! Bless his heart, he drives an hour each way just to see me in the hospital. With the gas bills, eating out every meal for him (there is no food for spouses in this facility and he doesn't want to eat in front of me because I'm currently unable to eat solid foods)doctor bills, radiology bills, hospital bills, etc spiraling out of control, we would really appreciate your support. Thank you very much and we wish you a very blessed day!
